Cajun Dance Party.

I remember when I first heard this band because it was on my birthday back in may I heard them on the Steve Lamacq show he played "The Next Untouchable" and I loved it so when I got home I headed over to their myspace and stole what I could. It's been a few months now and I've been enjoying Cajun Dance Party without hearing any word on the Hype Machine or Pitchfork until today! HUZZAH! Pitchfork has reviewed "The Next Untouchable" so by the usual logic the whole of the bloggosphere will be going mad for Cajun Dance Party anytime soon.

So I thought I'd Start the ball Rolling with a couple of tracks.
Cajun Dance Party - The Next Untouchable
Cajun Dance Party - Colourful Life

The Flaming Lips

You read everywhere, The Flaming Lips: A band to see before you die.

They're right of course. Before they'd played a note, I could tell it was going to be the best gig I'd ever been to. You know then, that you're onto something special.

I think the pictures speak for themselves.

The atmosphere, with the lighting and everything was so intense a girl right near me had an epileptic seizure. The crowd acted in such a surprising way, they all followed Wayne's instructions to keep calm and walk backwards slowly away from her while the paramedics went in. I've never seen such a huge crowd acting in such a cooperative way. It was rad.
